Celebrating 50 Years with Newly Renovated Guest Rooms at OHI Austin

The timing is especially meaningful as Optimum Health Institute prepares to celebrate its 50th Anniversary on September 19, 2026. As we honor five decades of welcoming guests and supporting their journeys toward greater health and well-being, we’re also investing in the spaces that will welcome guests for years to come.

These renovations are designed to make the OHI Austin experience even more comfortable, welcoming, and restorative, while preserving the warmth and character that make our Austin campus so special.

Refreshing Our Guest Accommodations

In August, six guest rooms, Rooms 208 through 213, and four bathrooms were updated with guest comfort and functionality in mind.

Select rooms received new furniture, furnishings, and thoughtful finishing touches. Warm woods, natural textures, soft fabrics, and calming neutral tones create peaceful spaces where guests can rest and recharge after a full day at OHI.

Select bathrooms were also refreshed with updated tubs and surrounds, flooring, and vanities. Together, these improvements bring a fresh look and greater functionality to our guest accommodations while preserving the relaxed character of the Austin campus.

And this is just the beginning. Additional guest accommodation improvements are already planned for future phases.

The Great Hall: What’s Ahead

Next, attention turns to one of the most important spaces on campus: the Great Hall.

The Great Hall is the heart of OHI Austin, a welcoming central gathering space where guests come together to learn, connect, share experiences, and build relationships that often continue long after their stay.

Planned improvements include a new roof over the Great Hall to address long-standing leaks and help protect this important gathering space for years to come.

Inside, the Great Hall is also planned for a significant refresh, including interior painting, new furniture and seating, updated rugs and soft furnishings, new lighting fixtures, and refreshed décor.

The goal isn’t to change what makes the Great Hall special. It’s to care for and enhance a space that plays such an important role in the OHI Austin experience.
