Our Holistic Retreat
Optimum Health Institute (OHI) provides a well-rounded curriculum that promotes full-body wellness and personal empowerment. Every class is part of an integrated program built to support your journey to better health. Our San Francisco retreat offers the peaceful setting you need to focus, restore, and grow.
Physical Health
Our detox program plays a key role in renewing the body and clearing the mind. Designed to help eliminate toxins naturally, the program combines clean nutrition, movement, and mental clarity techniques for full-spectrum healing.
Guests follow a raw, plant-based meal plan rich in antioxidants and nutrients. Fresh produce, juices, and herbal infusions help the body’s natural systems function more efficiently, supporting detox and cellular renewal.
Movement is encouraged through gentle yoga, stretching, and light physical activity. Paired with breathwork and guided meditation, these practices support blood flow, lymphatic drainage, and relaxation.
Daily workshops teach the principles of natural detox, hydration, and fasting. Led by knowledgeable practitioners, these sessions provide both inspiration and tools to continue healthy habits long after the retreat ends.
Mental Health
Supporting mental and emotional wellness is a key part of the OHI experience. Our program helps individuals reduce stress, overcome emotional barriers, and cultivate greater inner peace using compassionate, research-based methods.
Guests benefit from private sessions, small group discussions, and mindfulness exercises. These experiences encourage emotional awareness, stress relief, and personal growth in a safe, judgment-free space.
Food is another pillar of mental wellness at the retreat. The carefully curated plant-based diet is known to improve mood and cognitive function, and nutrition classes help explain the science behind the connection.
Workshops on coping techniques, emotional self-regulation, and mindfulness help participants leave feeling stronger, clearer, and more balanced.
Spiritual Health
Healing on the spiritual level is equally important for lasting transformation. OHI’s spiritual classes help guests reconnect with their sense of purpose and inner strength through practices like prayer, meditation, and gratitude.
While OHI is rooted in a non-denominational Christian approach, people from all spiritual backgrounds are welcome and supported. The goal is to foster connection to the self and others in a meaningful and inclusive way.
Whether you're looking to explore your beliefs more deeply or simply find a quiet place to reflect, the spiritual program at OHI San Francisco offers space for transformation and peace.

What Guests Are Saying
From the staff, excellent program, and the wonderful grounds, OHI is where I go to reset and heal. The friends you make last a long time. This was my first time to the Austin campus. I had been to San Diego twice before. I think Austin is now my favorite. You can’t beat the walking paths. I really can’t say enough. THANK YOU Austin OHI. I had a lovely experience. ❤️❤️

"I believe career starts with ‘care’ and feel blessed to bring my profession and passions full circle here at OHI. As a former guest, I saw OHI as a healing refuge - and now get to return the favor. It took 19 years at P&G followed by a career change into health and wellness, but the journey has been invigorating and I’m excited to help others succeed in their own wellness journeys."
