Our Holistic Retreat
Optimum Health Institute (OHI) offers a comprehensive wellness program made up of classes that help restore balance and empower personal growth. Each session supports different areas of healing, and the tranquil Long Beach setting enhances the experience of transformation and rest.
Physical Health
Our detox program is designed to help cleanse the body naturally and safely. We focus on supporting the body’s systems through plant-based nutrition, mindful movement, and healthy habits that encourage overall renewal.
Guests follow a nutrient-rich, raw, plant-based diet filled with organic fruits, vegetables, juices, and herbal teas that help flush toxins and boost energy. This dietary plan works alongside the body’s natural detox process.
You’ll also participate in light movement like yoga, stretching, and breathwork to support circulation and reduce stress. These physical activities complement the detox process and contribute to a refreshed sense of vitality.
Daily classes and workshops provide education on detox strategies, hydration, and natural healing. Led by wellness experts, these sessions offer practical tools you can use to maintain your progress long after your retreat stay ends.
Mental Health
The mental wellness portion of our program is crafted to help reduce emotional stress and promote clarity and resilience. Whether you're looking to reset your mindset or process emotional challenges, our team is here to support your journey.
Guests take part in mindfulness exercises, group discussions, and individual support sessions. These experiences are designed to build emotional strength and help you develop greater self-awareness and coping skills.
Our nutrition program also supports mental health by fueling the brain with clean, plant-based foods. Educational sessions explore how diet impacts mood, stress, and focus—providing you with tools to care for your mind through better eating.
Topics such as emotional regulation, stress relief, and mindfulness practices are covered to help guests maintain wellness beyond the retreat.
Spiritual Health
True wellness includes a connection to something greater than oneself. Our spiritual classes help guests explore their inner beliefs through meditation, prayer, and gratitude-focused practices.
OHI is a non-denominational Christian healing ministry, and we welcome people from all spiritual paths. Our goal is to support your journey, no matter your background or beliefs, in a space of respect and compassion.
Whether you seek quiet time for reflection or want to explore spiritual growth more deeply, OHI Long Beach offers the space and tools to help guide your journey toward inner peace and spiritual renewal.

What Guests Are Saying
From the staff, excellent program, and the wonderful grounds, OHI is where I go to reset and heal. The friends you make last a long time. This was my first time to the Austin campus. I had been to San Diego twice before. I think Austin is now my favorite. You can’t beat the walking paths. I really can’t say enough. THANK YOU Austin OHI. I had a lovely experience. ❤️❤️
