Our Holistic Retreat
At Optimum Health Institute (OHI), our program features a wide range of immersive classes focused on transforming the body, mind, and spirit. Each element of the program is designed to guide you toward balance and lasting vitality. The calm setting in Bakersfield provides the perfect space to focus on your personal growth and healing.
Physical Health
Our detox-centered program supports the body’s natural ability to heal through plant-based meals, raw organic foods, cleansing beverages, and herbal teas. These choices help eliminate toxins and boost energy levels from within.
The physical aspect of wellness also includes movement practices such as yoga, stretching, and gentle activities that promote circulation, reduce stress, and enhance focus. Breathwork and guided relaxation help to calm the nervous system and support your body’s cleansing processes.
Classes led by knowledgeable facilitators cover essential wellness topics including hydration, digestive health, and fasting. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how to care for your body through natural, sustainable habits.
Mental Health
Our mental wellness sessions are designed to provide clarity, balance, and emotional resilience. Through small group settings, reflective exercises, and mindfulness-based practices, guests are encouraged to examine thoughts and feelings with openness and compassion.
Techniques such as journaling, visualization, and guided meditation are used to help release emotional blocks, reduce anxiety, and foster peace of mind. Group sharing and peer support offer meaningful connections that enhance emotional healing.
Educational classes give you practical tools to manage stress, increase self-awareness, and nurture emotional well-being both during your stay and once you return home.
Spiritual Health
Spiritual wellness is a vital part of healing at OHI. Through quiet reflection, gratitude practices, and meditation, guests are supported in deepening their spiritual connection and inner peace.
OHI is a non-denominational Christian healing ministry, open to individuals of all beliefs. The spiritual approach is rooted in openness, acceptance, and personal discovery.

What Guests Are Saying
From the staff, excellent program, and the wonderful grounds, OHI is where I go to reset and heal. The friends you make last a long time. This was my first time to the Austin campus. I had been to San Diego twice before. I think Austin is now my favorite. You can’t beat the walking paths. I really can’t say enough. THANK YOU Austin OHI. I had a lovely experience. ❤️❤️
