General Information

We congratulate you on your important first step in learning more about how mind, body and spirit alignment are key to achieving optimum health. The following information will help acquaint you with our facilities and the OHI program.

While OHI is not a medical facility, miraculous healings are a regular occurrence as guests and adherents detoxify the body, quiet the mind and strengthen their spiritual ties to God. When we open our hearts and align our mind and body to this sacred presence all around us, we open the door for miracles and healing to become part of our daily lives.

Health Matters

  • The Optimum Health Institute is not a medical facility, but rather a healing mission of the Free Sacred Trinity Church. Those participating in the program must be able to function independently and take care of themselves. OHI does not provide medical care, advice or treatment.
  • All guests are advised to consult their physicians regarding specific personal health issues and the use of prescribed medications. While on the OHI program, you should continue following your physician’s orders regarding your prescribed medications. Never discontinue any medication without first consulting a physician.
  • In case of a medical emergency, guests are advised to call 911 for immediate assistance. For NON life-threatening emergencies, guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from local health care facilities.
  • During your detoxification process you may experience various symptoms, both physical and emotional. These may include, but are not limited to: fatigue, nausea, headaches, light-headedness, dizziness, minor aches and pains, or other discomfort. If your symptoms are severe, you are advised to consult your physician immediately.
  • Women who are pregnant or nursing are advised not to participate in the OHI program.

Meals

OHI proudly serves live raw organic vegetarian meals consisting of sprouts, greens, fruits, vegetables, enzyme-rich rejuvelac (a naturally fermented, nonalcoholic beverage) and sauerkraut. Wheatgrass juice is central to our program and is consumed twice a day

Consideration of Others

  • Although the Optimum Health Institute is a faith-based retreat from the secular world, all religious traditions are respected and welcomed. Everyone is encouraged to pray, meditate and connect with God in a way that is personally meaningful.
  • Promotional literature should not be passed out to other guests and adherents. This includes brochures, business cards, or other forms of written literature for outside programs, products, or services – whether they are yours or someone else’s. Anyone who violates the above or performs or offers to perform a service (massage, counseling, etc.) for other guests will be asked to leave the premises without a refund.
  • Smoking, pets, wearing fragrances and burning incense or candles are not permitted in any area of OHI. During the detoxification process, guests and adherents become very sensitive to aromas.
